Our Impact
The 1,200+ Rotary Club members in Southeastern Pennsylvania volunteer approximately 46,000 hours annually serving our local community. We award more than $630,000 for local and international projects, serving more than 90,000 people. Collectively, area clubs engage in more than 350 local and 25 international service projects in a dozen countries each year.
The 46,000 clubs around the world are organized by Rotary International into more than 500 areas — called Districts — each helping to support their local clubs, including this District in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Our area is comprised of 45 clubs located in Philadelphia and parts of Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery Counties. We are an all-volunteer organization.
Financial support for the community is accomplished through a combination of Rotary International grants, our local foundation, and contributions from individual club members and their families and friends. Additional funds are raised in individual clubs based on the club’s priorities and specific needs in the community in which they serve.
